The company principal (Steve), has years of project management experience. In 2003, Steve was certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Now, Steve is studying to become a Sustainable Building Advisor. The SBA course offers an opportunity to incorporate green (or sustainable) building logic, methods, materials and procedures in construction and remodeling projects.
As you will see, Steve's project management experience runs the gamut from construction to federal government. Besides the years of experience managing remodeling and home improvement projects, some of the other areas include
The Federal Aviation Administration, including:
o The implementation of a Safety Management System (SMS)
o The feasibility analysis of a business unit within the Office of Communications, Navigation and Surveillance Systems.
o 15 year airplane fleet evolution strategy for the Aviation System Standards (AVN).
o Integration plan for AVN and the National Aeronautics and Cartography Organization.
Industry and Non-profit:
o US based design, architecture and construction in Chile
o Carbon Sequestration, carbon credits and investment in Chilean forests
o Administration System improvement for the Hispanic Committee of Virginia
o Managed two large development projects in Chile.
o Managed consulting team focused on improving productivity in Chilean mid-large industrial companies. -
I worked on a cattle ranch/farm in North Central Montana, until 28 years old. There, I worked with several brothers and we managed:
o 1000 head of cattle
o 1000 acres of irrigated ground
o 5000 acres of dryland wheat/barley
